Facebook checkpoint

Short answer. A Facebook checkpoint stops the login until you confirm you are the owner. Use the steps on that screen, on a device you have used before. Screenshot it. If the page then says the account is disabled or suspended, appeal that notice. Do not send the password to anyone who offers to clear the checkpoint.

A Facebook checkpoint is the page that stops a login and asks you to prove the profile is yours. It is not the same screen as “We disabled your account.” Read the headline. The next tap depends on it.

Move through the checkpoint you can see

Use a phone or browser you have logged in with before. Facebook’s own recovery notes say that device matters. Screenshot the checkpoint, then follow its steps.

  • A code to email or phone. Type it yourself. If it never arrives, the contact on the profile was changed. Secure the old inbox first.
  • A photo or video identity check. Do it inside Facebook. One face, clear light. Do not email an ID card to a stranger or to us.
  • A “this was me” login review. Approve the session you recognize and reject the rest.

When you are in, set a new password, turn on two-factor authentication, and log out sessions you do not know. The steps for a hacked profile are on Facebook hacked account recovery.

If the checkpoint is really a ban

Some checkpoints end on a suspension or a disable. That is no longer a lock you click through. Screenshot the new sentence. Appeal from the button on it. Facebook account disabled splits suspended and disabled in Facebook’s own words. Facebook account suspended confirm identity is the page for the identity step on a suspension.

A locked screen that is not a checkpoint lives on Facebook account locked. Keep the screenshots separate so the case matches the page you saw.

Ignore messages that say they can clear a checkpoint if you send the password or a six-digit code. Facebook does not do that in DMs. UnbanPro does not either.

Send the name on the profile and the screenshot. If we are filing an appeal, we do it through Meta’s own official channels, with support chats and follow-up emails, and we push the case hard until it gets looked at. It takes a few days. Start a case on the contact page. How it works is the three steps. We never ask for your password.

Questions

What is a Facebook checkpoint?

It is a hold on the login. Facebook asks you to confirm your identity before the profile opens. A disabled account is a different sentence, with an appeal button.

How do I get past a Facebook checkpoint?

Open Facebook on a device you have used before and follow the checkpoint steps. Confirm the email or phone, or the identity check it shows. Keep every code to yourself.

The checkpoint says my account is suspended. What then?

Treat that as the suspension notice. Screenshot it and appeal from the button. Send us the name on the profile and the screenshot if you want it filed.

Will you log in and clear the checkpoint?

No. We never ask for the password or a login code. We file appeals when the screen is a disable or a suspension.
