What to do when your Meta account is suspended

Short answer. A Meta account suspension shows up as a notice on Facebook, on Instagram, or on a Meta login. Open each one and write down the exact sentence. Appeal from the button on the notice that names the blocked account. Screenshot every screen, and message us on WhatsApp with those captures if you want the appeal filed.

“Meta account suspended” is what people type when the block is bigger than one app. Facebook and Instagram can sit under the same Meta login. A notice on one of them, or on a Meta sign-in page, is enough to make the whole thing feel shut. The fix still starts with the sentence on each screen, not with a single magic form.

Find every notice before you appeal

Make a short list. Three places are enough.

  1. Instagram. Open the app and instagram.com. If you see “We suspended your account” or “We disabled your account,” screenshot it. The Instagram notice guide shows how to read that headline.
  2. Facebook. Open facebook.com in a browser. Screenshot a suspension or disable there too. The Facebook guide uses Facebook’s own split between those two words.
  3. A Meta login page. Some people hit the block on a Meta sign-in, including pages on auth.meta.com, before they ever reach the app. Screenshot that page as well. Note whether it offers an appeal or a download of account information.

Write the username or profile name next to each shot. If a client owns the accounts, ask them to send the shots. A description of the screen is weaker than the screen.

Search email for messages from Facebook and Instagram about a suspension. The email can name a policy the app screen leaves out. Save those messages with the screenshots.

Appeal the account the notice names

A button on Instagram appeals the Instagram account. A button on Facebook appeals the Facebook profile. If both are blocked, do both. Do not stop after the first one because the profiles are “linked.”

On each notice:

  • Confirm the email or phone it asks for. Keep the code to yourself.
  • Complete a video selfie or ID check in the app if that step appears. The account owner does this part. UnbanPro does not take ID photos.
  • If there is a text box, name the account, the date, and that you want this decision reviewed. Mention a hack only if one happened, and say when you noticed.
  • Submit once per notice.

If a screen shows a day count, treat it as the window for that account. Facebook’s help page says a Facebook suspension can be appealed within 180 days, and that missing the window leads to a permanent disable with no further review. Follow the prompt you can see. The 180 days guide walks through the countdown.

Accounts Center only works when you can log in

Accounts Center, or Meta Account settings, is where linked Instagram and Facebook profiles are managed. You can check which email is attached, which profiles are tied together, and whether a contact was changed. That is useful after you are back in, and it is useful if you can still open one app.

If every login is blocked, you cannot reach Accounts Center. Do not spend the day hunting a settings menu you are locked out of. The notice is the path. Instagram’s help pages say the same thing about a disabled Instagram account: log in and follow the instructions on the screen.

When one app still opens, use it. Look at the linked accounts. Write down the emails and phone numbers you see. If a hacker changed them, that note matters for the appeal and for the hacked Instagram guide. Change the email password on a device you trust if that inbox shows sign-in alerts you do not recognize. Recovery mail is useless if it lands with someone else.

Business assets are a separate list

A suspended personal profile can knock out the Pages, shops, and ad accounts it manages. Those tools do not replace the profile appeal. If you can still open Meta Business Support Home, look at the account it flags and follow the steps it lists for that business asset. An admin has to request a review there.

If you cannot open the personal profile at all, start with the profile notice. Tell us about the Page and the ad account in the same message so we know the full picture. Bring the Page name and the ad account name. We still do not need a password.

Label the screenshots so the case is obvious

Name each file before you send it. “Instagram notice,” “Facebook notice,” and “Meta login” are enough. Add the date you captured them. If a countdown is in the corner, crop nothing out. A cropped headline without the day count makes the window harder to act on.

Write one line on what you want back: the Instagram username, the Facebook profile, or both. If a Page or a shop sits on that profile, name the Page. We file the appeal against the notice you captured. A clear label beats a camera roll of fifteen nearly identical lock screens.

If you still have one app open, copy the email address shown in Accounts Center into the message. That is the inbox Meta already uses. If a hacker swapped it, say what the old address was and that you can still open it. Leave every password and every code out.

What to send us

Message UnbanPro on WhatsApp with:

  • Every username and profile name on the list.
  • A screenshot of each notice, including day counts.
  • Which email you can still open.
  • Whether a Page or ad account went down with the profile.

We read that for free. Then we file through Meta’s own official channels. We open support chats, send follow-up emails, and push the case until it gets looked at. It takes a few days.

The home page is the short version of the service. How it works is the three steps. The contact page sends the same case by email to [email protected] if you would rather not use WhatsApp. Leave passwords and login codes out of the message.

We are an independent service. We are not affiliated with Meta, Instagram, or Facebook, and we are not Meta Verified.

Questions

What is a suspended Meta account?

People use that phrase when Facebook, Instagram, or a Meta login says the account is suspended or disabled. The notice names the product. Appeal from the screen that shows the block, and keep a screenshot of the wording.

Does one suspension turn off both Instagram and Facebook?

Linked profiles can be affected together, and they can also show different notices. Log in to each app. Appeal each notice that has its own button. One screenshot of Instagram does not cover a different sentence on Facebook.

Where do I appeal if I cannot open Accounts Center?

Accounts Center is for people who can still log in. If the login itself is blocked, you cannot use it. Use the notice on the login screen, and the email from Meta, to request the review.

Can UnbanPro handle a Meta account that is suspended?

Yes. Send every username involved and a screenshot of each notice. We file through Meta's official channels. It takes a few days. We never ask for a password.
